Auckland Chinese Community Centre Inc has been organising an annual Chinese New Year celebration for the more than 20 years. The Festival has grown in popularity over these years, and has now become a highlight of the Auckland summer events calendar with attendance by 20,000 persons or more.
Our Chinese New Year Festival & Market Day to welcome the Year of the Snake on 2nd February 2013 was attended by the Prime Minister Rt Hon John Key, Consul General of the Peoples' Republic of China Mr Niu Qingbao, Leader of the Opposition Mr David Shearer, Minister of Maori Affairs Hon Dr Pita Sharples, Minister of Ethnic Affairs Hon Judith Collins, Sponsors and many other distingush guests.
2014 marks the Year of the Horse and the Festival will take place on 18th Janurary 2014 at the ASB Showgrounds. We look forward to see you then. |
