Keywords:The iconic Moonride will be held at the Waipa Mountain Bike Area off State Highway 5 and use the stunning Whakarewarewa Forest trails.
The 24 hour event starts at 10pm Friday night and goes through until 10pm Saturday. This is for the serious boys and girls, or those after a real challenge! The 12 hour event starts at 10am Saturday morning and goes through until 10pm. These events are open to solo riders and teams of 4 – 5 people. The 6 hour event starts at 10am Saturday morning and goes through to 4pm. It is open to solo riders and teams of 2 – 5 people
Teams ride the 9km circuit and complete as many laps as they can within the timeframe of their event. Tents, campervans and caravans pop up in the campsites which riders wind their way through each lap creating an electric atmosphere and unbelievable experience. |
