Keywords:"Poppys Cafe", is prominent café,situated in the middle of the main street on the right as you head through the town to either Rotorua or Taupo. It displays corrugated Poppies on top of its roof which were created by Stephen Clothier. The cafe is owned and operated by Ricky and Amber Millen, who juggle the cafe and three small children Sophie, Katie and Jake.
Ricky and Amber pride themselves on providing good quality home made food for a good price and great tasting coffee. Most of the food is made on the premises and range from scones and muffins which are made fresh every morning to breakfasts, mains, burgers, paninis, Quiches and senior meals.
The coffee brand Poppys uses is "Volt Amp" which is roasted in Henderson Auckland New Zealand by Volt.
Handmade chocolates are also available at the cafe these are all handmade by Ricky and Amber. We are happy to take orders over the net and do bulk orders for those customers who want something different for their clients for those special occasions.
The cafe boasts of a Courtyard out the back which is a lovely place to be on the nice sunny day, there are toilets available for customers.
The cafe is child friendly we have a big bear, toys, dedicated childrens menu, change table, highchairs and a secure courtyard.
