As custodians of the waterfront on behalf of Auckland ratepayers, the Council controlled organisation, Waterfront Auckland is responsible for leading the revitalisation of the inner city waterfront. With a focus on consultation and balancing stakeholder interests, Waterfront Auckland aims to deliver the true potential the Auckland waterfront has to offer. A design led approach has already seen the delivery of the first stage of the Wynyard Quarter development and the reopening of Queens Wharf as a public space. The opportunity exists now to build on this and a number of further development projects are underway. |
